Important ballot measures include:

PROPOSITION 9

Authorizes the Lege to reduce homestead taxes for disabled veterans.

PROPOSITION 15

Creates the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas and provides up to $3 billion in funding.

PROPOSITION 10

Abolishes the constitutional authority for the office of inspector of hides and animals.
