More cool programming at the Alamo Drafthouse

After the glitter, dust, and champagne settle this weekend following the debut of the new Alamo Drafthouse at the Ritz, it’s back to what makes the Alamo special to us all: its badass original programming. There’s lots to look forward to in November, including old favorites Open Screen Night, Sing-alongs, and Music Mondays. Look closely at that pretty little Alamo Guide sitting on your coffee table, though, and you’ll see a show making its re-debut at the Ritz location eager to join the regular programming family: the instant movie comedy show 3, 2, 1 Kill!

Award-winning Austin comedy troupe ColdTowne has assembled an all-star cast of award-winning local comedians and videographers to bring forth their award-winning production, 3, 2, 1 Kill! to the award winning Alamo Drafthouse screen. If you’re counting, that’s exactly four awards. 3, 2, 1 Kill! mixes on-the-spot film making with live stage performances and musical accompaniment for a one-of-a-kind multi-media laugh riot. (Note: do not riot). Your suggestion drives the piece. Is it funny? Yes. Is it made up right then and there? Yes. Is it dangerous? Not really. Is it hard to pull off? Fuck yeah. Most movies take months to make. They get ten minutes.
