Giving up: Sound Team calls it quits

Sad news yesterday, my friends. Austin’s beloved Sound Team are giving up their glamorous rock star lifestyles. Bassist Bill Baird summed up the reason in his blog as “Nothing too dramatic. Just time to move on, that’s all.”

Sound Team will play two more shows before shuffling off to an indie graveyard. The first is Thursday, September 9th at La Zona Rosa. And the farewell gig will be (hopefully) an all out rock and roll explosion at the Austin City Limits Festival at 12:30pm Saturday on the AMD Stage. If you’ve got a ticket, check them out and send them off in style.
