KGSR Blues on the Green – Carolyn Wonderland
Every other Wednesday through August, KGSR hosts Blues on the Green, its free summer concert series. Past artists have been Los Lonely Boys, Marcia Ball, Asleep at the Wheel, and more, and playing tonight is guitar goddess Carolyn Wonderland, who has released six CDs and been featured on 20. The KGSR website says: “A bit of a renegade, she likes to incorporate elements of Blues, Country, Swing, Zydeco, Surf, Gospel, Soul, and some nights, maybe even a Cumbia into the musical mix.” Best of all, this event is free! (Remember, Zilker doesn’t let you have glass bottles or alcohol.)
