The National Rattlesnake Championship is held in Taylor, Texas each year around March. In its 35th year, the event was held March 31 and April 1 at Murphy Park in Taylor. Rattlesnake themed events lasted all day and included daredevil stunts, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, food, a carnival, and, of course, rattlesnake sacking.
The event is hosted by the Taylor Jaycees, a rattlesnake sacking crew.
