From noon to 1pm on Saturday, May 19, Austinites gathered at the Norwood Wal-Mart (183 and I-35) to protest the proposed Wal-Mart at Northcross Mall. While the protest was organized by Responsible Growth for Northcross, an Austin group striving to stop the new Wal-Mart from opening, one person showed up to support the location.
