That Other Paper stopped by Independence Brewing Company last Saturday night to check out Draft Sessions, a new monthly concert series that combines local bands and local brew. Foot Foot, Clap! Clap!, and DJs Orion and Jazz One provided the music; Independence provided the beer. (We highly recommend the Alamo Ale.)

Their website says you get 5 free beer tickets for the event. So that means for a suggested $5 donation you get five cold, locally brewed, fresh and mouthwatering beers! Sounds like a deal to me. Oh wait. There’s live music too! If this happens next next month, I am so there. Keep us updated.
P.S. If the Alamo Ale is the same Alamo Ale from the Alamo Drafthouse (I assume it is), then that is some great beer.
It’s the same one! We just figured that out last week when we were at Spike & Mike. It’s definitely my new favorite beer.
