Croissant Time review

Rating: three starsPrice: cheap
Review October 15, 2006

Croissant Time might be in a strip mall in Oak Hill, but it’s owned by an actual French couple, one of whom is a pastry chef who was trained in some fancy-schmancy pastry chef school in France! Despite that, Croissant Time’s a very laid back neighborhood bakery and cafe. The chicken salad sub is bliss mixed up with mayo, even if you’re listening to the owners and one of their regulars chit-chat about acquaintances’ cardiac problems while you eat it. The selection of different croissants and baked things is also drool-worthy. This business is a little too lackadaisical about some things — quiche reheated in a microwave is not exactly super awesome — but they have some good food and seem to be on top of their game overall. It’s also on the way out to Lake Travis, so check it out if you’re looking for some frou-frou picnic fare to go with your Lone Star.

This is the worst place i have ever been to in my entire life! The french woman was so rude it was unbelievable. She ignored me and my husband serverd the people behind us several times. I honestly believe she is racist. She practically spit in my food. I didn’t know the klu klux clan was allowed to open restaurants. Go back to france if that’s the way you treat people. In America we treat people with respect.
