About Punchline
Punchline is a stand-up comedy show hosted every Friday night at ColdTowne Theater (map) and sponsored by That Other Paper. The show consists of about 10 comics who each get four minutes onstage before the show’s headliner comes up to do a 10- to 15-minute set.
Live comedy is a great way to spend an evening, especially at ColdTowne Theater where the atmosphere is incredibly relaxed and the people are friendly. Tickets are only $5, and everyone 21 and over can bring their own booze.
There’s plenty of parking on 48 1/2 Street and in the lot next to the theater. This means you and your friends should all ride to the show in separate cars (preferably SUVs).
Be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the show. Seats fill up fast.

Email us to get on the list. Anyone is welcome to perform at Punchline, so long as they promise to at least try to be funny. Please include your name and phone number in your email. You may only sign up for the current week’s show starting on the Sunday before the show. You should get an email by Tuesday telling you whether you’re on the list.

This show was the bomb last week. I had a great time with my friends. My stomach hurt after I left. Bryan Gutmann: hilarious. More like Bryan Gut-buster if you ask me.
I saw the show this Friday and I have to say I was really impressed. The audience was not so big and there weren’t a whole lot of comics, but my friends and I all agreed that it was a great show and we really laughed hard. The MC Chuck Watkins had a really good opening act and kept the pacing perfect all throughout the show. A lot of people were at ACL, but the ones that showed up had an awesome time. This gets my vote for Best Use of 5 Bucks on a Friday Night. Oh and the new bar is really cool too!
