So you’ve already been to the Trail of Lights and 37th Street and now you’re looking for other places in Austin for spectacular Christmas light displays. We’ve compiled a list of recommended neighborhoods. So grab a Thermos of hot cocoa, and set out to explore these neighborhoods. Who knows, you might even see Santa.
Balcones Woods and 183
From downtown Austin: Take MoPac north to US-183 north and exit Braker/Balcones Woods. Take a right on Balcones Woods.
Spicewood Springs and MoPac
From downtown Austin: Take MoPac north and exit Anderson/Spicewood Springs. Take a left onto Spicewood Springs (if you take a right, you’ll be on Anderson).
Park St and 183
From downtown Austin: Take MoPac north and exit US-183/Research north. You’ll pass Lakeline Blvd. and Cypress Creek Rd. Cedar Park is right before Park St. on the left.
Cypress Creek Rd and Sun Chase Blvd off Lakeline
From downtown Austin: Take MoPac north to US-183 north. Go about 9 miles. You’ll pass FM 620. Turn left onto Lakeline and turn left again onto Cypress Creek Rd.
If you’re willing to drive a while:
W Parmer and Avery Ranch Blvd
From downtown Austin: Take MoPac north and exit Parmer/FM-734. Go left on Parmer. Go about seven miles – you’ll pass FM 620. Take a right or a left on Avery Ranch Blvd.
US-281 and FM 1431
From downtown Austin: Take MoPac north and exit TX-71/US-290 W. Take 290 west until you come to 71; take 71 west. Go about 33 miles. You’ll go over Lake Marble Falls and you’ll be there.
US-281/US-290 and Main Street
From downtown Austin: Take MoPac south and exit TX-71 W/US-290 W. Take US-290 west for about 33 miles. You’ll pass FM 2766 and take a left onto Main Street.
