The semifinals of the 2008 Funniest Person in Austin contest wrapped up last night, and six more comics were chosen to bring the funny in the finals.

The final six comics advancing are:

• Fred Bothwell

The finals of the 2008 Funniest Person in Austin Contest will be held next Monday, May 19, at Cap City Comedy Club. The top 12 out of the 99 comics who entered the contest will perform their best material in the hopes of squashing each other into the proverbial ground, so don’t miss out.
