Round four of the Funniest Person in Austin contest was last night. The talented four advancing to the semifinals are:

Round five of the Funniest Person in Austin contest will be held Monday, May 5th at Cap City Comedy Club.

Lance Gilstrap was the funniest person there. I’m amazed he didn’t advance. I don’t know him, and have never previously seen him or any of the other comics perform. In other words, this is an impartial opinion. Lance, if you read this, keep up the good work. You’re very funny.

Just wanted to “ditto” all of the above. If you look up ‘WTF’ in the urban dictionary, you’ll see a picture of Lance not being in the top 4. While all of the four comics who advanced were great, just in terms of audience reaction Lance was clearly in the top 4, probably the top 2.
