About The Velveeta Room
Named after Austin legend Kerry Awn’s character Ronnie Velveeta, The Velveeta Room is home to the Notorious Open Mic ($5, 18 & up) every Thursday at 10pm. Come here enough and you’ll be able to watch local comics develop their jokes by working on timing and delivery — or, in many cases, by coming up with all new material. On Friday and Saturday nights at 9:30pm and 11:30pm, see regular stand-up shows that usually feature two or more comics.
