Painted in black over the deep-red walls, a huge portrait of Austin’s favorite musical madman Roky Erickson keeps a watchful eye on everyone who enters The Parlor. It’s dark inside with a solid selection of beer on draught, as well as bottled beer, all reasonably priced. The jukebox grinds our punk rock and occasionally you can catch a live punk rock or hardcore act for free. The pinball machine sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Out back they have a patio for smokers, although if you don’t feel like going outside, the atmosphere is relaxed. Happy is hour is from 4p -7p with $1.50 Lonestars everyday — additionally, Monday and Wednesday $1 off all beers; Tuesday $2 Mexican beers; Sunday $1.50 Lonestars all day. Great attention to detail is lavished on every pizza pie, made to your specifications.
