What’s now the Showdown Saloon used to be three different bars, the most notable of which was Raul’s, a premier punk-rock venue during the early eighties. Since the Big Boys left the building, Showdown has become an old college favorite. If you come here enough, you’ll get your own mug that they keep above the bar just for you. There are pool tables, darts, and everything a good Texan needs — like beer, chili, and very tasty burgers. The patio is huge, and after happy minutes, friends are easy to make.

Happy Minutes EVERY DAY
- 3:00–3:15pm: Domestic drafts $0.40
- 5:00–5:15pm: Import drafts $0.75
- Happy Minutes rules: Drafts are 10 ounces, limit three, and served one-at-a-time. And yes, you’re allowed to jump back in line!
Happy Hour EVERY DAY, 2–7pm
Events
- Pool tournament Wednesdays at 8pm
- Cash drawing Every Saturday night, the Showdown gives away at least $50. If no one wins, the cash carries over to the next week.
