Rio Rita describes their establishment as “a mild mannered coffee shop by day, swanky lounge by night.” They host a number of art shows and live music events. But it’s also just a cool place to hang out. They serve sandwiches, vegetarian wraps, pizza from East Side Pies. They serve a blend of Ethiopian, Sumatran, Guatemalan, Peruvian and Nicaraguan Certified Organic Fair Trade Coffee. They sell it by the cup and the pound. They also sell beer, wine, and champagne.

Time to update your little entry here, ThatOtherPaper.
Rio Rita is the second property opened by the team that brought you Beerland. They not only serve their signature Victory blend of coffee, it’s one of the best places in town to get it iced, since they actually *cold-brew* their iced coffee. Totally different experience to coffee that just got cold.
They have also expanded to include all manner of real hooch in addition to the beer and wine. Still no Bud Lite and that’s a good thing.
Their menu is in the midst of an upgrade as I write this.
They’ve also become an alternative art venue; they host a weekly play-what-you-brung 45rmp open-mic, a weekly hootenanny, and the best alt.crafts group night, Arts-N-Drafts.
