If the only thing that can redeem a debilitating Saturday morning hangover is amazing Mexican food from an East Side favorite, then Mi Madre’s is justification for finishing the bottle Friday night. Mi Madre’s serves up gigantic portions of incredible Mexican food that your stomach will grow too enamored with to regurgitate. While the menu is a bit on the expensive side – especially for a breakfast place – the food is great, the portions are large, and the waitstaff is incredibly accommodating. If value isn’t your first priority in breaking your Friday night fast, consider Mi Madre’s eclectic clientele a selling point: While waiting for our food, we overheard a fellow diner describe staving off an erection while having his testicles sonogrammed by an attractive doctor.
