About Chuy’s
There’s no shortage of great Tex-Mex in Austin, but Chuy’s, built in 1982, might possibly take the cake. It has an extensive waiting area/bar with a chips and salsa bar, drinks to die for (we recommend the strawberry margaritas), and the traditional Tex-Mex fare as well as some house specials (try the Chuychanga). Their recipes, all gathered from friends and family, are generations old, and the result is deliciousness.
